The hybrid integrated system of replenishing ink is cost-effective and offers higher page yields than conventional home office printers.   • Which printer gives the best quality of printing?

    PIXMA home printers have a higher print resolution than MAXIFY small office printers. PIXMA printers have up to 4800 x 1200 dpi print resolution; MAXIFY printers, up to 600 x 1200 dpi. As the resolution increases, so will the quality of the print. A high dpi – 4800 x 1200 – is necessary for printing photos. For basic text documents, standard 600 x 600 dpi (black and white) and 1200 x 1200 dpi (colour) will provide work-ready output.

    For the best results, we recommend that you use only Canon inks with your Canon printer. We cannot guarantee the print quality, performance and reliability of other cartridges when paired with Canon printers.

  • Do these devices support automatic duplex printing and scanning?

    All Canon PIXMA TR model home office printers feature duplex printing. Most PIXMA TS models do as well, the exception being the PIXMA TS3420, a document and photo printer. Duplex scanning is not available on any current PIXMA models. However, it is available on two current MAXIFY models: the MAXIFY MB5420 and MAXIFY MB5120.
