New Canon imageCLASS Laser Printers Deliver Better Workflow and Security for Small Businesses

BRAMPTON, ON., OCTOBER 8, 2019 – To enhance and expand upon the company’s current laser lineup, Canon Canada, Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, announces the addition of seven new imageCLASS laser printers. Designed for small businesses, these new models deliver upon market demands for ease of use, workflow efficiency and device security.

DEVICE SECURITY

Built with device security in mind and to help prevent against malicious access to critical information, these four new models add the ability to perform a Verify System at Startup process, helping to verify the validity of the device firmware and Application Library platform[i] and prevent unauthorized modifications.

The new imageCLASS MF448dw/MF445dw (up to 40-page per minute black-and-white multifunction printers) and imageCLASS LBP227dw/LBP226dw (up to 40-page per minute black-and-white single function printers) increase and improve Canon’s device offering in its mid-range imageCLASS printer assortment.

The imageCLASS MF448dw/MF445dw and imageCLASS LBP227dw utilize Canon’s Application Library device platform, helping to create a customizable experience for small business professionals in a variety of industries, including healthcare, finance, hospitality and government. These models build upon the platform capability of their predecessors with new features such as multi-language support as well as the Name and Scan[ii] function, where users can assign a name (keyword, ID, date & time) to a sent file and easily sort it into the appropriate storage location, making it easier to retrieve important files.

WORKFLOW and PRODUCTIVITY

Canon also introduces two new models: the imageCLASS MF449dw multi-functional printer and the imageCLASS LBP325dn single function printer, to compliment offices looking to increase productivity.

Supporting standard letter- and legal-sized printing (A4) with print speeds up to 40 and 45 pages-per-minute[iii], these devices work well in industries like education and healthcare, where space is often limited but productivity needs are typically high.

In addition to the new black-and-white models above, Canon also introduces the new colour imageCLASS LBP664Cdw single function printer, offering high-quality imaging, minimal maintenance, efficient print speeds of up to 28 ppm in both colour and black-and-white, and a five-inch colour touchscreen made to deliver an intuitive user experience.

Select models[iv] will come equipped with Canon’s print management solution, uniFLOW Online Express, as a standard feature providing user authentication, as well as basic scanning and cost accounting features.

AVAILABILITY

The new imageCLASS MF445dw and LBP226dw are available through the Canon eStore, as well as authorized Canon dealers. The imageCLASS LBP664Cdw, MF449dw, MF448dw, MF445dw, LBP325dn, LBP227dw as well as the LBP226dw will be available through select Canon resellers immediately.
