Canon Named One of Canada’s Best Employers for Diversity for Second Year in a Row
The list ranks companies that excel in creating diverse, equitable and inclusive workplaces.
BRAMPTON, ON., November 10, 2023 – Canon Canada Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, has been named one of Canada’s Best Employers for Diversity for 2023 by Forbes. This is the second consecutive year that the company received recognition for its dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Forbes presented this prestigious award in partnership with market research company Statista. To determine the rankings, they surveyed approximate 12,000 Canadian workers at companies with at least 500 employees. Respondents anonymously rated their companies on criteria such as age, gender, ethnicity, disability and LGBTQ+ equality. The evaluation was based on direct recommendations from employees (with recommendations from women, elders and ethnic minorities weighted higher than non-minority groups), indirect recommendations through industry evaluation (with only the recommendations of minority groups considered), diversity among senior leadership and diversity engagement indicators.
