Canon Canada Announces Partnership with FP Mailing Solutions
Canon Canada to offer customers a variety of folder inserters and postage meters to automate their mailroom processes
BRAMPTON, ON., MARCH 8, 2022 – Canon Canada Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, is excited to announce a new partnership with Francotyp-Postalia (FP) Mailing Solutions that adds a selection of the company’s mailing machines to Canon’s portfolio of business products. Even in an ever-expanding digital world, paper-based communication continues to be in demand: in 2020, the mail volume delivered by Canada Post amounted to 6.25 billion units*. By pairing FP’s mailing machines with Canon’s award-winning multifunction print devices, Canon Canada can provide customers with a holistic solution that increases the efficiency and productivity of their day-to-day operations.
Canon Canada’s portfolio of business solutions now includes two FP folder inserters and five FP mailing machines. Ideal for small to mid-size offices, the Folder Series allows users to automate their outgoing mail process. Users load their letters, invoices, brochures, flyers or newsletters, and the device automatically folds and inserts the papers into envelopes, which it then seals and stacks. The FPi 700 processes up to 1,350 letters per hour; the FPi 2720, up to 2,500 letters per hour.
PostBase Series mailing systems streamline an office’s mailing workflow. These Canada Post approved postage meters print postage directly onto envelopes. Ideal for small mailers, the PostBase vision S3 and PostBase vision S5 feature semi-automatic feeders and process up to 35 and 50 letters per minute, respectively. The PostBase vision A7 and PostBase vision A9 have automatic envelope feeders that process up to 70 and 90 letters per minute, respectively, and are ideal for mid-size companies. The PostBase Pro 130 includes a dynamic weighing option, weighing each piece of mail and stamping the correct postage rate automatically. A built-in label dispenser makes it easy to send thicker envelopes and small packages. All five models are ENERGY STAR® certified.
