For the 11th year running, Canon Canada proudly participated in Vistek’s ProFusion Imaging Expo, an annual trade show for established and emerging image-makers. This year, ProFusion was a two-day virtual event with over 70 live stream seminars that provided hot tips on the latest gear and insights into what’s on the horizon.

Canon Canada sponsored the event. The company always looks forward to interacting with photographers and photo enthusiasts in person at the show. With COVID-19 moving this year’s event exclusively online, Canon embraced a new way to connect with an audience eager to learn from brands and professionals.

Canon Canada invited two of their AmbassadorsPaul Zizka and Richard Bernardin – to produce original videos that not only spoke about their experiences with the EOS R5 but also showcased what they’ve created with Canon’s newest full-frame mirrorless camera. Canon Canada also used social media to reach out to users in advance for questions about the EOS C70. Canon product specialist Luc Lamarre incorporated those queries into another video premiere. The guest speakers produced their videos exclusively with Canon gear.

“When we’ve run our own virtual events we’ve seen amazing customer engagement and participation,” says Brett Gaskell, Senior Director, Customer Experience for the Imaging Technologies and Communications Group at Canon Canada. “We were excited that Vistek decided to move ProFusion virtual this year. We all need to go where the customers are to tell our story and sell our products. By going virtual, Vistek has set a great example for the industry.”
