Through rain or shine, Canon Canada employees and management showed their commitment to the environment by participating in the company's annual Branch Out program in September and October.

Celebrating its five-year anniversary in 2018, the Branch Out program provides Canon Canada employees the opportunity to spend part of their day creating green spaces and sustainable environments around the communities where they live and work.

“I’m really proud of the great participation from our employees and their commitment to our local communities, said Ted Egawa, Canon Canada President & CEO. “The program energizes us to do so many things: participate in the communities where we live, work and play; support our environmental programs, Canon's Environmental Charter and corporate philosophy of Kyosei; encourage employee engagement and teamwork; and promote overall health and wellness.”

Canon Canada partnered with environmental groups across the country for a variety of sustainability activities.

Close to 400 employees across the country participated in this year's activities, which included tree planting, invasive plant species removal, shoreline restoration, and creating and tossing seed balls to establish native pollinator habitat. In total, Canon Canada employees donated 1,532 hours at 14 volunteer events in 10 cities.
