To commemorate Canon Canada’s 50th anniversary, earlier this year employees set out to make a difference in their communities and give back to the people that have made it possible for our business to operate and succeed throughout the years. The initial goal to complete 50 initiatives for 50 years stemmed from the Canon philosophy of Kyosei: ‘all people, regardless of race, religion, or culture, harmoniously living and working together for many years to come.
Canon Canada partnered with various organizations across its regional office locations. Employees volunteered in groups throughout the year in activities varying from sorting food, prepping and cooking meals, teaching students photography skills, cleaning city parks, and clearing weeds and overgrown trees in community trails. The volunteer events also allowed employees to meet new people, collaborate with coworkers away from their desks, and work with colleagues outside of their direct teams
Thank you to all employees who participated in the 2023 50 Acts of Kyosei campaign and helped us make a positive impact in the communities that have served and supported us over the last 50 years.
And thank you to the organizations for the great work you do. These are just some of the groups our employees worked with across the country:
